Affiliate marketing / Online Children’s Education
Posted by Caelyn on September 9, 2022 at 7:44 amAnyone else trying to advertise for other people’s offers? Is this a good way to get started before creating your own content? Otherwise the content I started to create would be an online guide on what parent’s need to get started with either home schooling or just have their children interested / easier time learning – good or great niche? Thanks ahead of time!

Awesome! How long have you been looking/trying affiliate marketing? Add me if you want to bounce ideas around, get started with making sales?
-
Lurn Ambassador
Not sure if I added or not, but I got into this specifically to turn the affiliate starter I have to be able to reach deeper on more specific niche level.
-
Lurn Ambassador
What affiliate starter do you have? It would be great to keep in touch help each other out with getting the material down and working on our own business success down the line.

Currently using the Amazon model via a blog.

I never tried a blog let me know how that goes. How long have you been trying to do that?

So far I have only gone for organic traffic, and oddly enough I am only about 2 weeks into actually publishing articles, but I have been getting indexed by google and already seen 3 of my pages hit the first page for my keywords…more to come i hope.

That’s awesome, great start. I wanted to do paid ads but I don’t have the kind of money for testing. One way or another I’ll figure online profits out. My friend has a blog just a personal thing and I enjoy writing so maybe I should try it out I’m just not very technical so I have to learn a lot feels like I am going so slow.

The blog was a great platform to get my feet wet and stay doing it. The technology part of this one has been pretty decent in terms of nothing I couldn’t figure out with a little boots on the ground time with it. Kind of in the kids pool at the moment.

True I feel that have to learn to walk before you can run.

That’s how I got started and how many people get started marketing online. The benefit to it is if you pick something that’s already selling, you don’t have to worry about creating an offer, creating a course etc. You can just focus on marketing.
I think home schooling is a great niche. However, it’s a very competitive niche as well. Ask yourself what can you do to stand out and separate yourself from the many other options available to a parent that is considering home schooling.

Thank you! yes I want somewhere to start then can grow into my own courses if possible. I started creating outlines to help parents with different areas they may not have considered or are lacking when their child is learning – such as their responses to a certain behavior (lack of focus, etc) for better understanding and end results not necessarily the actual learning material like work books and such so trying to expand on that. Also considering ways to help parents with this area for autistic kids since I have one myself and can relate to what kind of support they need. 🙂 Hopefully that sounds sort of unique? What are you working on?

I have been an affiliate marketer for several online education programs in the Make Money Online niche, as well selling a few of my digital images & digital art (print on demand), eBay dropshipping, and blogging/content creation. But I really want to create my own courses in Personal Development & do coaching.
I have a B.A. in Psychology/Sociology & used to be a Mental Health Counselor & Correctional Recovery Coach. I also have life experience with addiction/recovery and lost my brother to a drug overdose, and I’ve struggled with a rare autoimmune disease (Scleroderma) that eventually made it impossible to keep working full time. I’ve been living on a fixed disability income since 2007. For the past 3 years I’ve been struggling with building online businesses, shiny object syndrome and crippling financial debt after charging $40K on online courses, business tools & bizopps.
My passion has been Writing for as long as I can remember, & in 2010 I developed a second creative passion, iphone photography/digital art.
After some personal struggles & years of codependent, dysfunctional relationships, I finally started to work on my healing in 2010. Since then I have been single (by choice), focusing on & immersing myself in my creative passions, my personal development, practicing mindfulness, energy healing and meditation, studying Quantum Healing & Law of Attraction, and in 2019 I began my entrepreneurial journey, researching, learning, and working online.
I have made progress over the past year but not much money at all – a few affiliate commissions, e-bay sales (dropshipping) & sporadically getting sales of my iphone photography online for a few bucks on various stock and fine art sites.
So any suggestions on how to combine my multi-potentiate passions, interests, skills & experience into courses and/or coaching?
I love to help others by inspiring them & empowering them to live their best lives and stop self-sabotaging. Especially people who are considered underdogs, creatives, artists, thinkers, empaths/Highly Sensitive Persons – basically people like myself.
Oh yeah, and I’m passionate about animal rights and giving a voice to the voiceless. I love animals and wish I could save them all. That is part of my WHY!
I am excited to connect with y’all here as we learn, build our personal brands and level up. We all have so much to offer and with Lurn’s help and Anik’s expertise I know we are in the right place. I also had joined KBB with Dean and Tony, but could not afford to keep buying their upgraded programs. So glad Anik came out with this one-time payment opportunity!!!
Love & Light,
Lisa 🙏🏻💜

Hello, nice to meet you. Not sure if you meant to post this under mine, but that’s awesome you have so many interests and knowledge. I’m having the same issue trying to pick something of quality to make into a course, I got started before but I don’t feel like it is finished and so second guessing my topic. Are you going to try the affiliate marketing again? I have been trying for almost a year now but not consistently, because I had that same issue shiny object syndrome. After a few burn outs and uneventful programs I decided to take a break and really choose just 1 to buckle down and give it my all until something clicks this time around. I figure after that I can at least stop completely stressing about immediate bills and further my learning into deeper concepts like in stages as Anik talks about. Let’s do this!

Nice to meet you too @Amazonian ! I wasn’t sure where I was supposed to post. 🤪 I read your post about affiliate marketing so I was responding to your post. But then it turned into a personal introduction lol! 🤣 I feel very positive about all the support and guidance Anik has for us here. I think it will really help me get focused. You are right about focusing on one thing until seeing success. I have a hard time with doing that. 🤦🏼♀️ I am still doing the affiliate marketing, even though I only have made a few commissions, nothing consistent. I figured it was the best way to start earning significant money so I can pay my bills & be able to invest in more specialized coaching to help me set up my own passion business and brand. But it hasn’t been profitable yet so I jumped at Anik’s opportunity because it made so much sense and provides so much value. I purchased a bunch of Lurn classes over the past couple years and I’ve always been impressed with Anik’s programs and all the value he gives.
We are in good hands!!!!! 🤗

Perhaps you can focus on home schooling for autistic children? That would definitely narrow it down a bit and make you stand out more.
As for me I coach Gamer Dad Entrepreneurs. I show them how they can build their businesses without sacrificing their families and gaming even while working a full time job.

Yea I just have one pager’s about different stages for children’s learning experience and not completed yet unfortunately. That is a great topic! How long have you been interested in starting that?

It’s a superb niche, but I agree with Roosevelt, how can you stand out? Maybe even more specific about…
– How to fund homeschooling? Does govt have programs?
– What about actual homeschooling curriculums?
– How about how to setup community schools? I hear this happening lately where communities, families come together – 10-12 kids and they hire a teacher…
Getting more specific may get you an amazing edge!
-
Lurn Ambassador
Yea I am not sure about actually creating the curriculum myself I got started with the other material I have as bonuses to an affiliate offer and even started a page, but lost momentum because I wasn’t sure if I was doing what I needed to the right way. I am so ready to do the work I just really need a way of supporting my kids since the domestic violence issue I had with their dad things just have been so hard since then trying to recover and I want to show them anything is possible if you keep moving forward even if they are still young. I am sure with the support and guidance here I can make this happen and hope to help others in these kinds of hard situations as well eventually. Thank you for the feedback and ideas for more content creation appreciate learning and growing!

Yes definitely staying focused on just one source this time until I get things rolling I really need this for my family, but I also want to eventually continue making my own course to help other parents struggling as well. It’s all good posting under mine just wanted to let you know just in case lol. What have you tried so far as affiliate marketing goes? What marketing strategies and products? We can do this!
-
Lurn Ambassador
I am promoting other people’s products while I create my own product . It forces me to maintain a posture of ongoing action so I do not become stuck.
-
Lurn Ambassador
That’s great how long have you been doing this?
-
-
Lurn Ambassador
Just a few months seriously. There is a lot to learn but the most important thing is consistency. Lurn has a lot to offer especially around free traffic which is advised as you heard when just getting started.

Anything in specific, any commissions so far? I want to start with affiliate marketing before creating a course to get the ball rolling, but today I had sort of a thought to look into for content to create so maybe no.
-
-
-
Lurn Ambassador
That consistency is HUGE! especially in the organic traffic market
-
Lurn Ambassador
Yea I was doing good for a couple months then lost traction so now I am starting all over unfortunately.
